Following a recent trip to Oxford, Vice-Chancellor David Harley reports on his thoughts for the future of OUST as an institution:
I recently visited Oxford for the first time in many years and was able to catch up with some old friends working there as researchers. After a pleasant few days touring around, indulging in some fine English ales, reminiscing about those humorous adventures in our halcyon undergraduate days, and even discussing some current academic issues, I left with same feeling I remembered having there before - what a lovely place, but I don't don't think I'd really like to work or live there. It's not just the history, or the depth and breadth of research, there's a certain character and ambience that's quite inimitable.
